Holmes and Gormley choose to tilt at windmills...

...rather than confront the overwhelming criticism being directed at Holmes' usefully idiotic and inaccurate depiction of Canadian Healthcare.

The issue that's being raised isn't that she failed to fulfill her patriotic duty to support Canada, it's that she misrepresented the truth. Yet Gormley and Holmes not only take to the airwaves to do battle with the "not patriotic enough" straw stuffed shirt (18:00), Gormley also tweets against that windmill and duels with it in his Star Phoenix column today.

It doesn't say much for Gormley and Holmes' position that, instead of confronting the criticism that's actually overwhelmingly being raised, they've instead opted to stage a show battle with a much different argument.
