Why the left-wing (socialist?) comedy bias?

Bill'O calls attention to the relative dearth of "conservative" comedy.

Perhaps it bears pointing out that when you consider things like this...



...and this...



...and this...



...to be "humour", it isn't bias that's the issue, but rather your comedic preference?

The same thing goes for "lamestream media's left-wing bias".

The jokes in the "America Show" rely on peoples knowledge of trivia only popular on ultra-right wing blogs. Jon Stewart et al are good at digesting daily news and making it funny by pointing out absurdity and contradiction. It stands to reason which will be more popular and universally funny.

I think the thing is that popularity is, of course, populist. This inclines it left-wing. It's like... Well, it's like this:
